AI policy

At Casino Apps NZ we want to be open about how our content is made. We use artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool in our editorial process, but every page is worked through, fact-checked and edited by a person before it is published. This page explains how that works.

How we use AI

We use the AI tool Claude (developed by Anthropic, claude.ai) to make parts of our work more efficient. That includes gathering and summarising research, organising a guide into a clear structure and producing a first draft. AI helps us work faster and cover topics such as licensing, payments and bonus terms in proper depth.

AI is always an aid and never the final word. Nothing is published in the form it leaves the AI tool.

Our human editing

After the draft stage, an editor takes over. This is where the most important part of the work happens. Among other things, we:

  • Fact-check details against reliable primary sources, such as the Department of Internal Affairs, New Zealand legislation, the public registers of overseas licensing bodies and operators’ own published terms.
  • Correct or remove information that is wrong, outdated or misleading, for example when a casino closes, changes owner or stops accepting New Zealand players.
  • Edit the language so the text is clear, accurate and easy to read, including for people who are new to casino apps.
  • Add context and judgement that an AI tool cannot supply on its own, such as how a rule works in practice for someone in New Zealand.
  • Make sure the content is original and not copied from other websites.

The aim is that you always get content that is correct, useful and written for people, not for search engines.

Why we are open about it

We believe in transparency. Telling you how our pages are produced is a matter of trust: you should be able to rely on what you read here and know how it came about.

We also follow Google’s guidance on helpful, reliable content. That guidance focuses on whether content is accurate and made to help people, whether or not AI was involved in producing it. That is the principle we work to.

Fact-checking and responsibility

Everything we publish is covered by editorial responsibility. An editor reviews the material, and we update pages when the facts change, for example licensing status, bonus terms, payment methods or the law.

Gambling rules in New Zealand have changed considerably with the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026, and details continue to develop. Where a point is uncertain or still changing, we say so plainly instead of presenting it as settled. You can read more about who we are on our About us page.

Our content is information, not gambling advice

Our pages are informative and descriptive. They are not a prompt to gamble and they are not gambling, financial or legal advice. Online casino gambling in New Zealand is for people aged 18 and over. You can read more on our responsible gambling page.

Found an error?

We work hard to get things right, but mistakes can still slip through. If you spot something that is wrong or out of date, please let us know through our contact page, ideally with a link to the page concerned, and we will correct it as soon as we can.
